Your honor, I appreciate you looking at the evidence this case to determine if I should be fined. I was given a ticket because I was parked in between 76th Ave and 76th RD. This is an error because the no parking sign was misplaced after the storm knocked it down.

They have since fixed the sign. In my original plea, the judge indicated that the photographic evidence did not prove that the pictures were taken at the same location. So I have taken a video to make this as clear as possible.

Below is a map of the area. A few things to highlight:

Map of the parking dispute area

  1. The “No Parking” sign was misplaced and highlighted no parking from 76th Ave to 76th RD. This was put up incorrectly after the sign was knocked down from the storm.
  2. This sign now faces the opposite direction (correctly), essentially blocking off the intersection of 76th Ave.
  3. I was given a ticket because of this incorrect sign. This video proves it.

Below is a photo of the original misplaced sign, facing the wrong direction:

The following videos show the sign after it was corrected, now facing the proper direction.

The first clip was recorded on 76th Ave:

The second clip was recorded at the corner of 76th RD:

I hope this evidence is enough to dismiss this case and ticket. If not I would greatly appreciate the chance to present my case in person or virtually to the court.
